The Company
Junction City, Kansas-based Geovative Solutions, LLC was founded by Lane Roney and Scott Rock in January, 2006 with the mission of serving both businesses and consumers by providing innovative location-based software and solutions.
The Leadership
Lane RoneyMr. Roney, Chief Executive Officer of Geovative Solutions, LLC, received his BS in industrial engineering from Kansas State University with a certificate in engineering leadership and a minor in business administration. He has served with The Navigators doing international community development in Africa and Asia and worked as an industrial engineer for Raytheon Missile Systems. He has worked as an independent IT and business consultant and has led two past successful business start-ups in the property maintenance industry.
Scott Rock
Mr. Rock, President and Chief Technology Officer of Geovative Solutions, LLC, received his BS in computer engineering and minor in Computer Science from Kansas State University. Most recently, Mr. Rock has served as Information Systems Research & Development Manager for Central National Bank. He has worked as web developer for Surface Systems and Instruments and as a software developer for Cargill Meat Solutions. Mr. Rock has also founded and led two successful Internet businesses.
Shing Chang, Ph.D.
Dr. Chang, Chief Business Development Officer of Geovative Solutions, LLC, received his B.S. in industrial engineering from Tsing-Hua University, his M.S.E. in industrial and management systems engineering from Arizona State University, and his Ph.D. in industrial and systems engineering from The Ohio State University. He currently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at Kansas State University, and has held several other teaching and research appointments.
Patrick Caldwell
Mr. Caldwell, Chief Operating Officer of Geovative Solutions, LLC, received his BS in electrical engineering from Kansas State University and his MS in electrical engineering from Arizona State University. He has served as an engineer for Raytheon Missile Systems (RMS), Motorola’s Government Electronic Division, and Cessna’s Fluid Power Division. He has held several management positions with RMS since 1980, and served as Vice President of Operations for RMS from 2002 through 2005.
